Affiliate Program
Program overview, tiers, and policies. For binding legal terms, refer to the Affiliate Program Terms.
How it works
Share your affiliate code before a seller signs up. Rewards are computed annually using a single metric (G) and a single highest tier for the year.
Full tiers
Rewards apply to the full annual G for the highest tier achieved. Credits are generally applied automatically to platform fees and subscriptions when possible.
| Tier | Min G | Credits | Credits cap | Cash | Cash cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pre | $500 | 0.50% | N/A | N/A | N/A |
| A | $1,000 | 2% | N/A | N/A | N/A |
| B | $5,000 | 3.50% | N/A | N/A | N/A |
| C | $10,000 | 5% | N/A | N/A | N/A |
| D | $25,000 | 7% | $2,000 | 4% | $1,500 |
| E | $50,000 | 8% | $3,500 | 5% | $2,500 |
| F | $100,000 | 9% | $5,000 | 6% | $4,000 |
FAQs
Eligible 2DL accounts can enroll from the affiliate dashboard. You’ll need at least one store with a name before enrolling so your affiliate code can reflect it. Participation is optional and subject to approval under the Affiliate Program Terms.
Your affiliate dashboard shows your code, share link, tier estimate (YTD), credits balance, and recent rewards and payouts.
Attribution is set when a referred seller signs up using your affiliate code. After that seller’s first paid event, attribution is locked and can’t be changed.
Rewards are calculated annually based on total G generated by your referred sellers. G is defined as 100% of platform fees plus 50% of subscription fees.
Credits are non-cash rewards that are generally applied automatically to your own platform fees and subscriptions when possible. Cash rewards are only available at higher tiers and are subject to caps, verification, and the Affiliate Program Terms.
No. Affiliate reporting is aggregated, and we don’t expose individual seller sales or revenue details.
Privacy policy

View privacy policy text
This Privacy Policy describes how 2DL ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use 2dl.app and related services.
Who this applies to
- Sellers who create accounts and manage stores on 2dl.app.
- Buyers who purchase products from sellers using 2DL-powered checkout and delivery.
- Affiliates who participate in the 2DL affiliate program (for example, referral attribution).
- WordPress site owners who install the 2 Download (2DL) plugin and connect it to 2dl.app.
What we collect
- Seller data: account details and store/domain configuration needed to operate the service.
- Buyer email (if provided): used to deliver receipts, access links, and support.
- Transaction and checkout data: information about purchases and payment events (for example, checkout session status, amounts, currency, and payment event timestamps).
- Product file metadata: file names, sizes, and storage identifiers needed to deliver digital content. (Sellers may upload files; we do not encourage uploading unnecessary personal information.)
- IP/device and request logs (if collected): used for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
- Webhook and audit logs: records of payment events and system actions for debugging, dispute handling, and reconciliation.
- Affiliate attribution data: referral codes, attribution events, and aggregated reporting needed to operate the affiliate program.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies or similar technologies primarily to maintain secure sessions (for example, keeping sellers signed in). We may also use standard logs and security signals to protect the service.
We may also collect and store marketing attribution data, such as referral sources and campaign identifiers included in URLs (for example, UTM parameters). We may store this attribution data using cookies, local storage, or similar technologies so we can associate visits and actions with earlier campaigns or referrals. This may include affiliate referral codes (for example, an affiliate_code parameter).
How we use information
- Provide checkout, entitlement, license, and download experiences.
- Prevent fraud/abuse and secure multi-tenant access.
- Customer support and incident investigation.
- Compliance and accounting needs related to payments.
External services and processors
We use third-party service providers to operate 2DL. Depending on your use of the service, your data may be processed by:
- Stripe (payment processing and payment event webhooks).
- Supabase (hosted Postgres database infrastructure).
- Cloudflare R2 (object storage for digital product files and related assets).
- Vercel (application hosting and delivery).
WordPress plugin data flows
If you use the 2 Download (2DL) WordPress plugin, the plugin may send data from your WordPress site to 2DL hosted services (2dl.app) to create hosted checkout sessions and to look up receipts/licenses. The plugin may transmit a store API key for server-to-server authentication (admin/server calls only). Payments are processed by Stripe on hosted checkout, not by your WordPress site.
Data retention
We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal/accounting requirements, and support security and dispute resolution. Retention periods may vary by data type.
- Request logs (security/diagnostics): typically 14–30 days.
- Webhook event payloads (support/replay): typically 30–90 days.
- Webhook processing status/errors (support/audit): typically 90–180 days.
- Orders and entitlements (accounting/support): retained as required for the business and applicable laws (often years).
- Financial and transaction records (accounting/compliance): typically retained for at least 7 years (or longer where required).
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Sharing
We may share information with service providers used to operate 2DL (for example, payment processors and infrastructure providers). We do not sell personal information.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can also request account deletion.
US residents (including certain US states such as California) may have additional rights, including the right to appeal certain decisions and to opt out of certain types of processing. We do not sell personal information.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you may have rights to: (a) know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share; (b) request deletion of certain personal information; (c) request correction of certain personal information; and (d) opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
To exercise rights, contact 2download@2dl.app. We may need to verify your request.
International transfers
If you access 2DL from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where we or our service providers operate.
Children
2DL is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are posted.

View Affiliate Program Terms (summary)
These Affiliate Program Terms ("Affiliate Terms") apply to participants in the 2DL Affiliate Program. Participation is optional and subject to approval.
Eligibility
- You must provide accurate information and maintain a valid account.
- We may refuse, suspend, or revoke participation at any time, at our sole discretion.
How referrals work
- Referrals are attributed based on program rules (for example, a referral code used at seller signup).
- Attribution rules may include anti-fraud protections (for example, locking attribution after a referred seller’s first paid event).
- We do not guarantee that every referral will be attributed.
Rewards timing and availability
Rewards (credits or cash, if offered) are generally calculated and posted only after qualifying payment events have successfully completed and are confirmed (for example, after payment provider confirmations). We may delay posting or payment due to fraud/abuse checks, refunds/disputes, compliance requirements, or technical issues.
When applicable, credits typically post within a few days after the qualifying event is confirmed, but timing may vary.
Credit structure (referral signup promo)
If a referral signup promotion is offered, it may provide promotional credits to the referred seller. Credits are not cash, have no cash value, and are non-transferable.
- Current referral signup promotion (if applicable): up to $30 total.
- Maximum $10 may be applied to platform fees.
- Maximum $20 may be applied to subscription fees.
- Credits may be applied automatically after payment as reimbursements of fees (for example, via a payment provider transfer), rather than as a discount at checkout.
- Credits may be subject to additional restrictions, expiration, or changes, as disclosed at the time of grant or in program updates.
Expiration and forfeiture
Promotional credits may expire. If an expiration is provided at the time of grant, it applies. If no expiration is specified, we may still expire unused promotional credits after at least 12 months of inactivity with reasonable notice, except where prohibited by law.
Non-transferability and assignment
Affiliate participation, referral attribution, and any rewards are non-transferable. You may not assign these Affiliate Terms or transfer your affiliate account or rewards without our prior written consent.
Fraud, abuse, and prohibited promotion
- No spam, deceptive marketing, or misleading claims.
- No self-referrals, fake accounts, or attempts to game attribution or rewards.
- You are responsible for complying with applicable laws and disclosure requirements.
- FTC disclosure: you must clearly and conspicuously disclose your affiliate relationship in marketing materials where required (for example, using "affiliate link" disclosures).
- If you use cookies or similar technologies to track referrals, you are responsible for obtaining any required consents and providing required disclosures.
Affiliate tracking and privacy
2DL may process referral attribution and related data to operate the affiliate program. For details on how we handle personal information, see the Privacy Policy: 2dl.app/privacy.
Clawbacks and forfeiture
We may withhold, deny, reverse, or claw back rewards/credits if we reasonably believe there is misuse, fraud, policy violations, refunds/disputes that invalidate rewards, or an attempt to manipulate the program.
Clawback review and appeals
If you believe a reward was withheld or clawed back in error, you may contact us at 2download@2dl.app with relevant details. We may request documentation and may take time to review. We do not guarantee reversal.
Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes related to rewards. If cash payouts are offered, we may require tax forms and may issue tax reporting documents where required by law.
Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless 2DL and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your promotion activities, disclosures, marketing materials, or violation of law.
Program changes and termination
The program, tier thresholds, reward formulas, credit caps, and payout mechanics may change over time. Changes generally apply prospectively. We may terminate the program at any time.
Relationship to other terms
These Affiliate Terms supplement the Platform Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and other policies. If there is a conflict, these Affiliate Terms control for affiliate-specific matters.
